Course description
BTEC Level 3 Music Technology:

The course has been designed in a way which has been considered as aspiring for Producers, Artists, DJs, Live Sound Engineers and for other who have keen interest in making and recording music. Resultant, this course provides an insight about the music industry, Advanced composition, live sound & studio production to the students.

Additionally, utilising the college's industry 5.1 surround sound studio as well as industry level sequencing equipment/ software, this course contents also includes units on Live Sound, Events Management, Marketing and Promotion. At the time of extended diploma, it has been required that Students on the Extended Diploma, as part of their final major project, produce recordings to be released through the College's own record label.
We also offer 90 credit qualification. It is one-year full time course which has been equivalent to 1.5 A- level. The natural progression on successful completion is into a second year for completion of a full Extended Diploma; the Extended Diploma is equivalent to three A-levels. It is however suggested to choose to progress from 90 credit one-year course directly into employment or alternative training.

Additional entry requirements

It has been required for the students to have Four GCSEs at grade C/4 or above or equivalent Level 2 qualification. Also ,the profile must include GCSE English or Mathematics at grade C/4 or above. A CD or relevant work-related material. We will also consider the equivalent qualification. Otherrequired skill will be assessed at the time of interview.
