The Purpose of this Assignment:

This assignment provides you with the opportunity to demonstrate your understanding of the methods and techniques used and required when carrying out formal research. You will examine a variety of research methodologies and experience the opportunity to develop research skills.

The majority of this assignment should be presented through a written report, demonstrating a sound understanding of research methods and protocol. The report should show evidence of secondary research through a critical review of the relevant key literature relating to the selected research question. It should also show primary research through the selection of a new research question, and then by selecting the appropriate research methodology for this question and evaluating and justifying its use. Crucially, research needs to be focused on meeting its objectives and the outcomes need to be credible. The research question needs to be well-thought-out, appropriate, unique and researched and planned thoroughly.

Scenario:

Xerox Corporation is an American global corporation that sells print and digital document solutions, and document technology products in more than 160 countries.

As a recent graduate, you have secured a training managerial position with Xerox head-office. Here your role is to impress the higher management. In order to do so you must analyse the business teams of the company and propose solutions to improve the atmosphere of the groups and overall performance. Your initial objective is to describe the characteristics of successful teams. After that you will have to first assess the importance of team roles and then analyse the value of using theoretical model when building successful business teams.

Once you finish this first segment you must explain the stages of team development and plan how to motivate team members to achieve given objectives. Before you finish this section you will have to encourage open communication between team members and evaluate ways of resolving conflict between team members.

Finally you will have to monitor the performance team against a given object and then you will have to recommend ways to improve the performance against given objects.
