I would really appreciate some guidance and assistance on Uniformed Public Services: I am currently based in South Africa, and will be immigrating to the UK in March 2020. My son, Bryce, is determined to become a police officer.  He has just turned 16 and will complete his Grade 9 (equivalent to a UK Secondary year 9) at the end of this month. He has a Central Auditory Processing Disorder, and therefore learns better practically.  He has recently qualified as a National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) Crew Member and spends all of his free time down at the NSRI base as a volunteer,  going on callouts and training. I was hoping to start him on a BTec Uniformed Public Services Level 1 through Distance Education as soon as possible, so that he could then join classes for Level 2 in the UK in September 2020; but unfortunately, I am unable to find any colleges that offer Uniformed Public Services as a Distance option.   I have realised that he may possibly have to complete some  GCSE subjects in the interim, but am not sure which subjects are required / most suited for further studies in the Uniformed Public Services. He needs to start studying something now so that he can slot into the new UK year in September, and I was hoping that you could advise me on a possible study plan in the interim; or if not, be able to refer me to someone who could assist.
